‘Servants of Barezeth’

As an Esu Ankaykari, Liralian’s status depends on the strength of her court. By the end of the Truce of Elanthar, she has the alleigance of three servants, making her one of the greatest rulers in Askamar. However, they make a surprising trio: Erulorian (top-left) is a patient and thoughtful healer, Xessuralen (center-right) is a hard-hearted warrior and Olemnashial (bottom-left) is famed as a dancer and musician.

I find faces especially hard to draw, so I thought it would be a good idea to practice doing portraits. Here are the servants of Barezeth: Erulorian, Xessuralen and Olemnashial (who I always enjoy drawing). Eventually I hope I’ll get around to creating a similar picture of their enemies, the servants of Veskansare!

As an Esu Ankaykari, Liralian’s status depends on the strength of her court (which is composed the Nayusuru Ankaykari who follow her).

The three find it hard to work together, and while Liralian has a close bond with Erulorian, she does not quite know what to make of the newer members of her court…
